IN THE RELIGIOUS BORDERLANDS OF THE URBAN WEST
Protestant Anglophone Culture and Institutions
in Metropolitan San Francisco, 1900-1920

Douglas Firth Anderson

The selections placed here are from a 450 pp. ms. Peer reviewers are unanimous in saying that it deserves publishing. Academic publishers, to date, seem to think otherwise. As an author, I am far more interested in having my research known so that it may be of use than in making a profit. Hence, I have sought to provide here enough of the ms. to give interested scholars and other readers a fair taste of the work's scope and approach. Any who may be interested in more are invited to request the ms. through interlibrary loan from the Northwestern College library.
