What do we do?
- Projects
- We are active in restoring
an 18-acre riparian and prairie habitat on a college-owned farm near Hawarden,
Iowa.
- We are active in water
monitoring and testing in association with IOWATER.
- We perform the upkeep
and maintenance of the Alumni Gardens on Northwestern College’s
campus.
- With the assistance
of Orange City Boy Scouts we built and distributed Wood Duck Boxes in
Alton.
- We have adopted and
clean a 2 mile stretch of highway on Highway 75 near Sioux Center
- Education
- We educate and encourage
the campus community about recycling and other environmental issues.
- Club Activities
- We enjoy God’s
creation by going to such places as the Loess Hills, DeSoto National Wildlife
Refuge, and going on club camping trips together.
- We have a Ice Cream
Social for new members at the beginning of the school year.
- We have booths set up
for the RSC Activities Fair and the Morning on the Green.
- We enjoy a recycled
paper-making party.
- We have a Terra Nova
movie night for members.
- We host the Earth Day
Chapel in Northwestern’s Christ Chapel.
