So I’ve reached the big two!  I am now 2 months old and am growing out of all my little baby clothes (and size N and 1 diapers) and into my big-boy clothes (and size 2 diapers).  Daddy made the mistake of buying me some cheapie diapers called ‘Drypers’ figuring if they had the word ‘dry’ in them they couldn’t be all bad.  But they are, so mommy has to do lots of laundry when I wear them.  Anyhow, here are some recent photos of me that I thought you might enjoy seeing:

This is me right before Christmas, blowing kisses to all my fans out there.  At that point I was still on my best behavior because I knew Santa was watching.  Now Santa’s on vacation for awhile so I can give mommy and daddy a hard time without it counting against me.

Here’s me on Christmas Eve sneaking a peek at all of my presents.  Actually, when daddy took this picture I was resting, but as soon as everyone’s back was turned I got busy peeking under the wrapping paper and shaking presents to try to figure out what I was getting.  One problem I had to deal with was the fact that all gift-wrapped baby clothes make the same sound when you shake them, so it was hard for me to guess what I was getting.  But I did guess correctly on the bouncy seat!  Of course, I was there when mommy and daddy bought it, so it wasn’t too tough to figure that one out!

Here’s me with mommy, grandma Alcock, and my great grandpa (mommy called him ‘Pa’ when she was a baby, so everyone calls him ‘Pa’ now).  I am therefore under the impression that I can rename my grandparents when I am old enough to talk.  I’m trying to think of something really interesting and creative to call them so they won’t get bored with their new moniker.   If you have any ideas, I’m open to suggestion, so you can email your suggestions to my daddy at ttracy@nwciowa.edu.

Here’s our family Christmas photo taken the Sunday after Christmas.  I’m the one staring at mommy.  Uncle Dave and Grandpa Alcock wore their Broncos and Vikings garb that day for good luck, but to no avail, b/c their teams both lost.  I am also wearing a football outfit in the photo, but mine has Snoopy on it.  Snoopy wasn’t playing that day, but if he had been, he would probably have lost too.

These next 4 pics were taken of me when I turned two months old.  Daddy took this one of me right after I got done with a bath.  Normally I fuss after bathtime b/c I just want to play in the water all day, but for some reason I was in a good mood after this bath.

As you can see from this photo, I’ve been working out.  I do a lot of swimming (if flailing arms and legs while in a bathtub count as swimming), and I spend lots of time under my jungle gym swatting at the dangling toys to get them to play music.  I have also discovered that I don’t actually have to swat the dangling toys to get them to play… all I need to do is punch the upright bar of the jungle gym, so I do that a lot too.  I also like to head-butt mommy and daddy in the face, as it strengthens my neck muscles.  As for my post-holiday spare tire, I will work on that once I learn to walk.  (Daddy has to work on his, too, but he already knows how to walk so I’m not sure what he’s using for an excuse).  Anyhow, daddy says that the spare tire allele is prevalent on his side of the family, and it’s just another way everyone will know he’s a Tracy.

One of my favorite pastimes is listening to Brahms Lullaby and watching duckie, cowie, sheepie, doggie, and horsie run around in circles above my crib.  I keep thinking they will run away, and I am always surprised to see them coming around again and again.  I’m glad they don’t run away.  I would miss them.

Here’s me hangin’ with my friend Puddles the Duck.  He sings ‘Rubber Duckie’ to me, and he’s just fun to be around.  He also has a cool hat.  Puddles isn’t made of rubber and I don’t take him in the bath with me, but I tell him about all the fun I have during my baths.  Actually, I do have a rubber duckie.  I call him ‘HOT’ because that’s what it says on his belly (but you can barely read it because the letters are the same color as the blue background…. I’m not sure why they made him like that… You’d think white letters on blue would make more sense.)
